I can not believe it

I do not have school until May 8th. Our district has closed due to the swine flu. I can not believe it.

I am such a teacher because my frist thought was dang what is going happen with the AP Test. It is May 14th how in the world are my kids going to get ready for this test without class time.

My next thought was okay I hope my students stay home while school is closed. I bet dollars to donuts that most of my kids go to the mall and the movies tomorrow.

Free time with no school and no homework because we were in the middle of testing our kids won't stay home. Some of our families will use this opportunity to go see family. I do not understand why people are so wrapped-around-the-axle about this flu.

Thanks TC I doubt that I will get it but if I do I'll go to my doc and gets meds and I'll be fine.

Yeah my youngest is pretty sore at me because I will not let him go to the mall after school today. It isn't that I'm concerned he will get the flu I'm concerned about the issues that can pop up with that many unsupervised teenagers and he doesn't need to get caught in it.

Oh good that you are taking a week off. Come visit you have just as many cases up there as we do down here so no big deal. We could just hang out. I wouldn't be so bored that way.

Oh wait you're just playin with me.
